2 Shea and Conklin was talking together near the Brotherhood hall. Opt heard them say Rhodes and Forsyth will be there In the Evening Opt watched the Tracks both above and below the depot. There are a great many Tramps and other people riding everyday on the front end of the Mail and Express. Cars going west from here at night Opt remained up and around the Revy Cos property until 2.a.m. Saturday Aug 4th 1888. Opt reports everything very quiet here and was among a good many of the Strikers and went to the Ball Game with them but there was no information to be got. Everything seems to be very quiet Opt says he watches new as well as old men. and has an Invitation to take a trip on the Road with a man, a new Engineer, and will do so upon instructions Sunday Aug 5th 1888. Today Everything was very quiet among the strikers here. There were 2 German picnics and 2 fish frys. along the river. Opt went to one of them with several of the Boys. and returned early. There were but few people in Youngs Cigar Store and at 8 oclock p.m. Hank Young said he might as well close up as to burn Gas. Opt saw Koegle Sting? Farwell and Taitro? having quite a Conversation together Tom Horly was around the Empire House where he boards continually. he said look at the scabs getting fat while we are getting poor.
