At 6.30 P.M. opr. met Frisby going to the hall, and opr. left him there and went to look for Westling and found him at the saloon # 8 River St. with a crowd, so opr. took a beer and left and went to 27 Broadway, a drug store and bought a cigar and remained there watching the hall. At 8.15 P.M. opr. again went to 8 River St. and found Westling still there and got acquainted with a fireman named
