I want you to observe all that Bailey & Woodsum? do on the Spofford if they put on one other team just note the fact. They are on without right? & they know it. & ther conduct I  wish you to watch - I had some logs last year over on spring brook say from 50? to 75 thousand - nice logs I want you to look over & see them & see is there is any difficulty we getting them out.  look to them & see if they are all marked -  Soper has agreed to ? them for me - Talk with him about it if you can   See him  There is also a Mast? lying near the Monument above the Mouth of Sebour?  ? end ways into the woods  Tell Soper about it & ask him to get it by all Means
