Dear Brother

I should have written some time ago only I told S.W. Furber all I knew about Sargent & Holman's business. When I left Sargent came about 3 weeks since they had about about 50 thousand shingles made and hauled out as far as Milo they had stuff enough sawed and hauled together for 100 thousand in all I think they will be as good as those sent to you with the exception of a very few of poor ones sorted out they have had three hands shaving since but it is Doubtful whether they get quite all made up in season to haul out to the Iron works before sleding is gone. I understood that Severence hauled down a load of Sargent & Holman's shingles for one Mr. Bunkers and sold for 60. dollars at fifty dolls. for Mdl? but that is only hear say they have hauled in about 40 ? of Pine logs and the expected to sell them to the Iron Works - cost of dolls. per ? the shingles that are not hauled now will not probably be hauled till the ground settles I expected they would have sent them right down to Bangor what if I see then is quite a pile of them at Bunkers store. I think likely they have contracted debt for hay, Provinder etc, about here to the amount perhaps of $50, but it is only guess work they ow me $97 1/2 Dolls and gave me an order on you to be paid in cash when
