a sickly time about here. Marshall & Naomi Hill have both been quite sick - are better now.

                     Charles & his man have ploughed up river several days. Have sowed some today. Is rather a dry time now. Mr. Kittredge has a pair of twin boys named Calvin & Luther! Dy'e like that? I am very sleepy & dull, besides being in a great hurry & write what I think of first. We want to see you, but as we cannot hope for that, at present, we want you should write often, particularly, every thing; your hopes & feats, joys & sorrows, thoughts & feelings, everything. You know 'tis all interesting to us. We want to know how you get along & feel & think just as if you were at home.  Almeida's folks are well. She had not got her spring work done much yet.
