two or three days since, all to myself. I intend to answer it very soon. I hope? Nettie & baby are better.
It is a church fast today - a meeting this afternoon. It seems so good to have Samuel at home a few days. You can't think. Did you mean to leave your Alapine dress- I saw it hanging in the dark clothes soon. I really don't dare to think how lonely & miserable I do by night, all alone with baby. I have worried about you, lest you should get entirely sick going home, being weary when you started & getting wearied again there; Besides, Eliab said you had a cold. I was drefful sorry you did not get any tongues & sounds and brown bread, - will send some to pay for it. I have finished Lizzie's stocking & Maria & I together have got the sewing circle stockings about half done. Mr. Tebbets came up and staid all night - was ever so good. Mr. Robert Haskins died last Saturday. E. and M. went to the funeral Monday - a carraige to Mount Hope was provided for them. Mr. H. bequeathed a;; his public documents, such as surveys of Minn. & Utah territories, etc. to Eliab! About 25 bound volumes I believe. Quite a show in a library, though not of much real value to Eliab. Eliab and Maria are invited to a big party
