suppose! Mallie and I have really been very much hurried for two or three weeks - did you ever hear of me when I was not? Our cloaks and dresses were quite an undertaking -especially mine with baby to take care of - then the church carpets have taken her time and strength, as well as many others'. Baby was quite sick a few days last week as Samuel probably told you. I did not know anything what to do for him - we were up some with him two nights - the first time since I first came down stairs. I am just going about shortening his dresses. It seems too bad to cut his pretty flannels off. What splendid weather we have. I have not heard from Anna nor Isaac very recently - have been so busy I could not find time to write to them. Charles had not decided whether he should go to Elyria. Tell Almeda that Lizzie seems to think she wants to go home very much, but is willing to wait till sleighing so her mother can come after her. Do set? Almeda about making a lounge while you are there, and do be ready to come to Bangor soon - make Almeda a good visit first- much [left-hand side] Every thing is high. I could find no linsay worth buying for less than .25, but thought it would last as long as two uninspiring calicos & save washing & making one. [top upside down] Could'nt get my things ready for the children & will send them next time.
