[upside down] I want you should write very soon all your conclusions, advice etc. etc.

promptitude in this matter and be careful not to calculate for too large and expensive a one; it is not expected nor required to have first rate accommodations for a school of this kind, and we shall find it hard enough to find funds for an ordinary one. I have not any money to get a muff with and need one before my school bills will come in, & want to get me a good one. I do'nt know how I shall manage about a cloak but am pretty sure I cannot very decently get along without one.

[upside down] Joseph went directly to Mr. Sylvester's when he came. I have not gone yet- had partly engaged another place for myself at Dr. Deanes (she is a sister to Mr. Chandler of Foxcroft) a much more eligible place for me than Mr. S's probably a little higher board- do'nt know what I shall do yet. Tell Almeida I cannot buy a trunk this fall and will pay for use of hers what she says, my old red striped calico would make little L. a good dress and she can have that if she wants.
