 I wish you could journey east this summer, it would do you both so much good. Nettie needs to be invigorated & strengthened by the cool breezes of her native Hampshire & the fresh, bracing air of our mornings. I hope she will be able to have help in taking care of the baby now during the hot season else she will fail in regaining health & strength & remain weak and debilitated.
 Charlie is here attending school with Lizze, he was very much pleased when I told him about the baby, said 'I want to see it & wont they call it Charlie.'
I have been here a month, it is so lovely still & peaceful I enjoy it much.
