Please send the enclosed to Mother as soon as you can, and and please write me soon so that I can have the answer before I start. tell me whether I should have to hire a hark to carry my trunk back and forth if I stop a day or two in Boston or any way and please to tell me in detail all about my route what stage I had best take & where I had best stop Northfield, Warwick or Winchester and the fare: I suppose I shall go alone all the way for Mrs Sheppherd and Lizzie who go at the same time stop at Portland so take different boats here, I dread the journey there----

[upside down] With regard to Mother's staying longer she probably not enjoy visiting from place to place at her age more than one summer at a time, I think she had better not stay longer_____
