There is an Antiquarian singing society just formed here for reviving old music that was sung when Mother was a young: they give a Concert New Year's eve, the avails to go to the 'Wood Society:' Mr. Pomroy lectured before the Pilgrim Soc. or to commemorate the landing: had a very full house & was much admired. Our Lyceum has not amounted to much this winter: A new Orthodox Church is just forming meetings to be held at the new Market hall: Prof. Shepherd has offered to give six months preaching I have heard Mr. Walker is one that is going from Mr. P.s & 25 others.
