Dear Brother Jos.

Well here I am again snugly established in my R.R. Office; and dull and disagreeable enough it seems after my visit home. It is moreover a very rainy day. It does pour down "mice". The ground is in a fair way to get soaked to the perfect establishment of Fall Feed. I alone represented "Parker's" at Church today except one very pretty girl that I never saw before. I cannot quite yet tell you where my head quarters are to be, or whither to direct letters to me I start tomorrow for this new region.
I write unto thee especially to day to reiterate & renew & extend some of my prescription for your health & recovery.
I am extremely anxious you know that you should make a fair trial of mere rest quiet freedom from Medicine & fatigue, and pure water. And I forgot entirely to insist especially upon one branch of the matter in which I want you to change or enlarge your present practice.
I am anxious that you should bathe, thoroughly three times per diem instead of once.

My Prescription is Rise Early, and immediately Bathe thoroughly especially rubbing your back considerable if not more [left-hand side] Joseph please to write, & often & fully, all about yourself etc.
