The building a new Schoolhouse in Bangor, seems to me of very doubtful expediency. Will it not cost twice your estimates? Is the school a sufficiently firmament affair to justify it? When done with it a year or two hence, or whenever, can it be sold for one half, or for any thing? Are there not building or rooms enough of some kind, in your City to be obtained, perhaps by moving, or somehow? Will it not be in the end like many, perhaps most, speculation? However you who are there know most, best, all about it. & I presume understand yourselves & all the circumstances.

You enquire of Cloaks. You better have one.

Mine is a full Circle, many wear only three fourths circles, perhaps most do, for common. There is a little more of a full circle.Mine was velvet collar & front facing down a foot or two. It was twenty dollar cloak, worth 18,00, perhaps Worn only once, by a sick man. I bought it in the Spring too when such things are cheaper. I paid only $12.00 for it. It passes pretty well for a $20.00 cloak though.

A 3/4 of the same cloth & trimmings would of course be 3/4 of it.
Have you changed your Boarding place? On Eliab's account it was well at Brown's, that is if you had better chance to see to him. They ought not to have taxed you so high, I think. Have a good boarding place, but that is not so important to you as your dress. board cheaper & dress better.

What cloth are your pants? I want a good pair, I have lived? upon $3,00 ones too long. too homely, though last well.

I think were I at Bangor, I should clothe at 'Hunts.' that is so far as I now understand matters. Clothe Well
