In fact I must any where or way
If I go to Turner, I must have some clothes, for the first thing, Coat, hat, boots, pants etc. say $15.00 to $25.00 worth at any rate. I believe I shall write to Turner today that I will go there. And the next thing is that at least $25.00 appears absolute, to be got in hands as soon as Sept. 4th or 5th, at any rate.
How can it be obtained? I have this day written to Milo upon the same matter. If Charles or the folks at home cannot get hold of it, could you and Eliab, any way contrive to get it for me, if you have it yourselves, lend it to me, or if not borrow it for me for three month? I shall have you see $60.00 in three month to pay it with.
If Charles happens to sell his colt, he would let me have it. If Lucy get through her school so soon, she would lend me perhaps $10 or dozen dollars.
If you and the folks at home, Mother & Charles, should really think that I had better not go to Turner that I can borrow or get a little money this fall and stay here and do as well as I can for a winter school and trust Providence for next year etc. etc. then I wish you would all write immediately and I will be sick or frightened or something or other, and tell them that I cant go to Turner, & go home Vacation and best I can. Otherwise, endeavor to send me 25 dollars for three months, afterwards if I have my health, and God add his blessing, I can get through College, in some shape or other, by my own scratchings.

In one case, please write as soon as next week, as possibly in the other by Sept. 4th at least. Excuse this from your Brother Isaac.
