Your letter the first of 16th 17th came to hand this morning to my great joy. I shall hope now to hear from you very often. I calculate to write mostly every day myself. I have so far except the Sabbath when I did not get time.
In the Old School Assembly they have been having a great time. That Assembly you know last year delivered itself very decidedly against rebel sympathizers and required the churches to do so. The Presbytery of Louisville refused & protested very contumaciously under the lead of of the Old Politician Sen. Wickcliffe & Rev. Stuart Robinson whose health has compelled him to live in Canada for some years. Here at the Meeting of Gen. Ass. O.S. appeared the Said Stuart Robinson the head & ? of the offending as Delegate
