[De]Witt mean while. Wilbur went down to Drs to stay all night. The Children all are very well I think now. Baby sleeps better nights nowadays I think than she has for a long time. Last Night waked me only once and night before only twice. Wilder & Charlie may be considered very good little boys. What shall we do with fruit? Zillah & Charlie picked nearly a half bushel of splendin great nice gooseberries. I talked of making them into Wine, but they did get into a big pudding dish of Jelly & more too. Blackberries - words fail to express. Charlie picks a few quarts per day of Wild ones in the Grove, which we eat in pies & puddings, but the Lawtons*: well their name is legion, all fair & smooth, and about an inch in diameter the smallest way, if there be any smallest way to them.
