Franklin & Nelson walked to Lorain. Home at about 6. Joe went back to O. Wed 31 a.m. pick tomatoes & bartlett pears at home. p.m. John Eli & I on bicycles to Oberlin. I rode Carrie's wheel. Eli & I visited Joe at Library while John did errands. Coming home my tire gave out. Had to push wheel half way. Thurs. Sept. 1 Thrashing day. Eli Ike & I help Blaine thrash 8:10 a.m. Then Geo. Our wheat 13 bushels Our oats 40 "" Fri. 2 a.m. Eli shovel at Disciple Ch. Geo. haul dirt from there to hill lot. I put wheat in house except 4 bus. which I took to mill. Ike & I took 19 bus. oats & put in bin at new barn. Then went to see John Miller & Waldo Shepard about buying our bartlett pears. p.m. Ike & I shovel at Disc Ch. John & family leave for South big rain 6 p.m. Sat. 3. a.m. all of us shovel at Early's. 8 loads p.m. all pick bartlett pears
