Sunday June 26 1898 S.S. General Review conduct by Marion very fine. Harl sang "Who will run with the Tidings." Lake Ave. Mrs. H. Ammon rode down with me 26 present. Carrie Norton there. C.E. Consecration Mtg. Eve. sermon (?) on Destruct. of Jerusalem. Harl sang "the mistakes of my life are many." a favorite hymn of Father's. After Ch. we talked & sang at home till 11 oclock. good. Mon. 27 cult. corn for Geo. 8:30 a.m. Whole family up to Hill lot to select building site I Stayed at Rich's to dinner. Wm A. Bowen & wife & Spencer of Honolulu, O.C. 78 were [Oberlin College] there. Great rain in p.m. Geo. & I went into house & listened to Mr. Bowen talk & then studied on plan for our new barn. Eve. barn plans. W.S. Allen here. Tues. 28 a.m. met Allen at Hill lot & staked out barn 18 X 26 ft. Dug potatoes where barn is to be. Shelled corn. p.m. Eli & I to wood lot. I plant beans. then both cut suckers off of apple trees. trimmed whole orchard. Then to hill lot & bugged potatoes. Eve. C.E. business mtg. too late. called on Henry, Lozier, Dumas, Murbach.
