Eve. started for Lake Ave. but too muddy. Thurs. 10 Warm springy. Woods all day. Examinations at School. Fri. 11. Eli not in School. did not have to take exams. Chas. Eli & I to woods in a.m. in p.m. a little rainy & we went to Georges, got tools sharpened & sawed logs at his door yard. 5 Wild Ducks circled around the pond several times & then went off. heard Blackbirds Sat. 12 a.m. Chas. Eli. Geo. & I to woods. p.m. Chas Eli & I walked up to woods. more rain, rain considerable at night.
