Chas. went to bed 5 a.m. and staid till noon but did not sleep any. Irving and Azzie made all arrangements for funeral.

Sunday Feb. 20 98. rain, turning to snow in p.m. Only the boy went to Church. I taught my S.S. Class. In p.m. Harold & I walked up to Geo. Rich's to practise hymns for funeral. The girls want us to sing. Eve. We all read Bible together after supper. each choosing a chapter as in days of old. Then Geo. & Bessie came in after Church and we three practised our hymns a little more/ Mon. 21. trees very beautiful with snow. a.m. getting ready for funeral. practised hymns at Miss Monroe's 10:30 Funeral 2 p.m. Mr. Cadmus read scripture and prayed. no remarks. Hymns "Lead Kindly Light" Moment by Moment" and "The Homeland." Chas. & I Jo & Eli. Azzie & Harold were bearers.
