Sun Nov 7 1897 Father little stronger. Marion taught my SS class, Roy Supt'ed Lake Ave. Harl arrived 2 p.m. Chas "" 6 p.m. I sat up w Father all night C.E.s went to West Ridge. Mon. 8 John arrived 5:30 a.m. train, took washing over. slept in p.m. then dug last potatoes in garden 1/2 bus. Harl sat up Tues. 9 rain sold 3 bus. Winter Pears, Root here to supper, Chas sat up Wed 10 rain Chas. putting in window lights. house cellar barn. p.m. I led Petunia to bone meal works picked over rest of winter pears. John sat up. Thurs 11 rain some a.m. took 2 bus. Winter Net's Pears to town sold 60 cts a bus. Chas and I to Geo's sharpening tools then to Hill lot brot down a little load of beets. p.m. put beets in cellar. Went to west side for washing. got in the red beets from garden. also few tomatoes. I sat up. snowed some in night Fri. 12 snow a little. not snow much on ground a.m. monkeyed rat poison & mending rubber boots. ground frozen a little
