Rich's and we finished at 4:30 Went in swimming in 40 in eve. then went all over town to get someone to go to Lake Ave. Sun. August 1 cooler. fair. S.S. and Church. Got Mr. Hults to take my place at Lake Ave and Arthur Winney to take Ellis Wurts' place. 28 present. Jail meeting talked on 40 Psalm. C.E. 2 seats full of us went to Disciple Ch. + heard E W Allen preach on Paul at Athens. Mon. Aug.2. hot all of us work for Geo. John hauling oats. rest hoeing his corn. hauled our oats too. Geo + May called in eve. about picnic. Mrs Keener from Lake Ave. called about social Tues.3. Hot. big family picnic. Geo Rich's family + Sutcliffs, Lizzie De Witt + our family Randalls Grove. Ice Cream etc. I came home on Electric cars with father to do chores. Band wagons home 8 p.m. Eli and Keyes stayed down at Aunt Sarah's. Eve. called on Becker boys. Wed 4 hot cloudy. tremendous storm after dinner. a.m. trimmed hedge at home. Jo + Ike work in garden. p.m. wrote to Leon Flint. Ike went down to Lake on car to take some clothes to Eli+ Keyes.
