Skated to town on side walk in eve. Quartet practice 7. Teachers mtg 8. Fri 22 wind snow Father had a spell at 5 A.M. about waked up after little more than half hour. Was up to breakfast 9 rode to Town. Got laundry from Chinamen. $1.50 P.M. to woods alone. Eve. home. played Geog. cards. S.S. lesson. E.W. + wife home from Clifton Springs in P.M. Sat 23 colder 12 degrees in a.m. Aunt Anna had stroke of paralasis at 7 A.M. Took Father + Marion down there and did errands w. horse + buggy all the A.M. P.M. chopped corn fodder etc. Choir mtg. Aunt Anna died 10 P.M. Sun. 24. cold snow much 8 or 10 in. Coldest day so far Currier preach. Dan. 6:10 Windows open toward Jerusalem. We should have windows for our souls, to let in good influences, from (1) nature (2) books (3) home life (4) religion "Lift thine eyes." If we keep our windows closed we are like a miser who having great wealth lives in squalor: starve our souls.
