Dear Little Sister,
Yours was received today and was ever so gladly welcomed. It came in company with one from our brother, Dr. Keith from who I had not heard since my return to NY I will enclose it with this. ask what you think of his proposition? I have longed for you, darling ever so much the last few weeks. I wanted the assistance of your good sense to keep me from being morbidly sensitive & silly. It does almost seem as though we might do well together. You soothe me more than any one else when I am sick sometimes, at times I help you. Still on some accounts
top margin: Now My darling, I hope you will get ever so much better soon be sure & report before long. Let me know exactly how you are so that I can know how to advise. If you could have replacement it would be well, but we can see what medicine & bathing will do. You have doubtless sympathized too much with your dear friend Sarah Martin for your own good but such things we can hardly help & we must try to rally as well as we can. Do you have your class at the jail? Is not that too much a tax on your sympathies you know wehn we know (if we could) just what we can do & what we cannot we may be able to hit the happy medium & thus make the most of our strength Lots of love to your good friends Mr. & Mrs. Warren, the sister teachers & your own dear self.
