1909 Dec 3 Joe Osscan with his little [?launch?] took Mr. Gingoldt and myself to Walker this afternoon. a pretty rough sea - we got along fairly well. Have to complain only of getting the seat of our trousers wet. The water froze on our overcoats and did not wet through. our last boat trip for the season. 4 Mr Kulander came over in his [?] again today and brought some goods over and also took some of the school unclear over and back. Probably the last boat trip. He is always doing some kind and generous act for our accommodation. 5 Snowing heavy with strong wind all day. probably 8 to 10 inches of snow turning colder clearing after nightfall. 6 Clear and cold 5º below 0. 7 Lake frozen on Walker side
