how kind every body is to us - every delicacy Anna has. The old school house is a dear spot still. Mr. Wood is their minister - & the church tho but few are engaged

All the young men in the army - Mrs. Skinner has two sons there.
My time is mostly occupied in waiting upon A. She is very very feeble. - does not suffer much only from her breath which is sometimes frightful.
I presume you have heard that last spring she was taken with a hemmorage of the lungs - apparently in health tho the winter she had a slight cough a cold - her health has always been so uniform, that we thought she could not be sick - the laws of health was her study - very temperate in all things - but I have no doubt but it is hereditary, was taken just as Ephraim was - tho fails more rapidly.
she spent three months, with her friend in NY. I had great hopes that would do her much good, but it did not. the bleeding continued frequently until her return & had not since any? her flesh is wasting - she seems cheerful most of time - anticipate our return to our home in the spring. I have been afraid she would not live until spring, but she seems for a few days so much better she may be comfortable next summer.
I am interested in your family of dear ones - may God spare them to be a blessing to you & the world.
Some how I need more chastisement than others - it is my prayer that I may proffit by all this, - how triffling the world looks to me - there is but few that I enjoy their society. I am sorry I feel so - it seems as tho I should love to talk with you & Mr. Bradford love to them - altho I am an old woman I may live to see you with others
