Saturday Apr 30th warm and pleasant, got ferried over to Nebraska City N. J. at 9 AM and commenced to load which took most of the day, nearly every body is half drunk. but merchants and all are good natured. Emigrants help themselves to anything they find in the stores to eat and drink and it is all right. ministers and Deacons are on a drunken frollick this last day in civilization before leaving for the gold mines Uncle Dan is unclear in lots of things that we had not thought of. Our company consists of the same 4 wagons and 12 men. got loaded and went out 4 miles and camped traveled 4 miles
