The Voice that Calms "

Upon that night- That stormy night on Galilei, When wind & wave were high: And o'er that vessel drifting on: There hung a gloomy sky: When terror came to those on deck, Who feared the angry deep: While unclear mid the dangers wild Lay on His couch asleep: 'Twas then, He rose, & lo, His voice Dispeled their wild alarm: He hushed the wind, & stilled the sea- He wrought a wondrous calm. On. Galilei!
