I have been studying Grammar to-day. Jim Inson and I have agreed to watch and see what our armies were? doing at four oclock this evening. The recomendation given me by Capt. Ball to-day I think will fully atone for his hasty words uttered in June last--(See page 8?
Saturday May 7th Berdan and I went down to St Paul. Had our pictures taken. I spent the afternoon with Jarve. The papers bring the news of fighting in Virginia. The fighting was very heavy about four oclock yesterday. So that our expectations? were realized. I will stay with Jarve to night.
