Yesterday, I mailed a letter to grandmother, containing a little story which ma and Gert have written for our Sunday paper along with a five dollar greenback which they got paid for it. Ma and Gerty enjoyed the idea of composing story, hugely, and were on the tiptoe of expectation after I had taken their manuscript to my office to hand it to the compositors.
