91 197. FUERO, Governor of Coahuila. [left margin] March 13. 1874. His Excellency Senor Carlos Fuero Provisional Governor of the State of Cohuila, Saltillo, Mexico. Senor,

                 I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 21st ultimo, and in reply to inform you that the Commanding Officer at Fort Duncan, Texas, has this day been directed to turn over the arms delivered by Col. Valdez, to the person designated by you.

             I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 20th inst., Enclosing a copy of Joint Resolution of the Legislature of the State of Texas, relative to the necessity of more troops, to cover effectively the long line from the mouth of the Rio Grande to the Railroad Crossing on Red River, &c.:  I have to honor to inform you that it has been forwarded to the Commanding General, now absent from this city.
