99 friend to publicanes & sinners and caused many other reproches against him yet hee bore all patiently & reffered the case to God & herin we should follow his example. waban, you know all Indians are not good. some caryd rudly Some are Drunkards others steal others lie & breake their promises & otherwise wicked So tis with Englishmen all are not Good But Some are bad & will carry it rudely & this wee might expect while wee are in this world therefore bee patient & quiet & leave this Case to God & wait upon him in a way of wel doeing patience meeknes & humility & God will bring a Good Issue in the end as yo have seen & experienced.

There are many other things that I might have Recorded concerning these poore despised sheepe of cht Christ:  But I feare; that where I have already written wil be thought (by  some) impertinent & tedious, But when I call to mind that great & worthy men: have taken more paines to - Record & others to read the seeming smal & litle concerns of the Children of God; as wel in the historical Bookes of scripture as: other histories of the primitive times of chtianty Christianity & of the doings & sufferings of the poore saints of God: I doe incourage my hart in God that God will acept in Cht Christ this mean laubor of myne, touching these poore despised men, yet sure as are through the grace of Cht the first profesors, confesors (If I may not) say martyrs of the ch[ris]tian Religion among the poore Indians in America.
