Hillsdale, Mich. March 10, 1885 Dear Sister & Cousins,

I reached here a little after 1 this p.m. Hattie & Holden were at the depot there to meet me with a carriage. & they were a good deal disappointed not to meet Anna also- I don't know as I would have been of much account if she had come - so her loss is my gain! but really Anna will I hope at some other time be able to come and so I tell them. They are all well and give me a very cordial welcome. The little girls are delighted with their dollies and the little carriage

in margin: letters she gets for me and make them her own - Hope she will continue to feel not too tired to have a good time- a postal from Fannie will do when Anna is too tired to write. Tell cousin A. that I did not mean to come without saying good bye- but its not for long, you know. Hope you are getting a taste of spring too- Tell Maggie I did not mean to run away without speaking to her - We had an hour or more at the depot. I was a little lonely, leaving you all &
