Dear Sister,

I have not yet spoken to Mr. P. about the farm next year. I wrote to Eddie and he fears we will find it take all our earnings to pay necessary wages should we undertake it ourselves - if Mr. P. will do what he ought he thinks we cannot do better than to let him have it another year. I will speak to him a find out what he expects and is willing to do and then I will write to you, God willing, and we will try to come to an understanding. He is much better if it had been pleasant- yesterday he felt able to go to church & Anna thinks if we want to keep him, we might make

in margin: she is sleeping I think- Friday evening a little color of blood came from her nose- right nostril We were frightened but hope it will not prove to be anything more than that. Her stomach has troubled her for two weeks or more and she has been taking pepsin- it is about gone-I asked her about it Sat. evening and she says there is a bottle in the pantry she thinks. I will look - she takes granum before going to bed at night.

crosstext at bottom: Did J.E. write to you that the likeness you sent him was broken in the mail - doubled right across the face. He should have another. Owen Evans says put it in an unsealed envelop with paste board on each side and it will come for 1ct. Write soon please- Will J. and others were at Mr. P.s Sat. and went in there and had tea with them. Mr. & Mrs. P. are gaining nicely. Ellen said she saw Maggie and Judson coming on bobs with Janes springboard on top- Last Friday we do not know anymore as one was from Jane's to church yesterday - There is a lot of snow now!
