Thanksgiving day, at Kenilworth, Thursday, November 28, 1901

This is a beautiful sunny day, not very cold, all well but Mr Shreve Badger he still has a cold in his chest. he ordered out the Donkey and Cart and took all the children, for a drive it did not help his cold, we had Luncheon, then Shreve went out in the garden, and ran with the children and played unclear that gave him more cold, and made him cough. Mr A.U. Badger went into Chicago and took lunch with Mrs Henry his daughter, found all well. returned to our 6 O.clock dinner Mrs Henry wanted him to stay to dinner but he had promised us he would return Mrs Bland Bullard telephoned from Lake Forest that she wantd, Mr Badger and myself & Shreve & Frances to come to dinner at Six O.clock, but we had to decline, much to our regret. We had a delicious dinner with a great variety of good things in the night Shreve had a chill, at three O.clock Frances put hot unclear on him, and he got warm.
