Wednesday July 14. 1875 / continued Mr Kelly the Conductor who was on Mrs Harvey,s train, came to us at breakfast and said he saw Belle,s family all safe on the train for Boston. Hunt is feeling much better, it is very warm and dusty. we have the drawing room on this Car, it is not so nice as they are on the Pullman train of yesterday. we will not reach Boston before five this Afternoon. we are all tired and dusty but well, we have been so long in the Car. Thursday July 15th 1875 X Last night we all stayed at the Revere House. and had a nice dinner, and good rooms all on the same floor, all spent a X very good night, Hunt had very high fever all night, and I did not sleep well. the Porter waked us all up at six O. clock. to start for Yarmouth, but Hunt was so sick with pain in his bowels and fever, that I sent to the Office and they sent for Dr Goodby , he came and gave Hunt Pulsatilla and Nux. and said I would have to be very careful or he would have Typhoid fever. they hurried us up and at seven I had the Porter carry Hunt and we got in a Stage Coach and started for the Cars. when we got to the Cars, we found them very crowded, so we put Belle and X her family in what seats they could find, and I went into the X Baggage Car with my family, and in a little while they succeeded in getting the Smoking Car seats for us all. the ride was hot and dusty and we reached Yarmouth at one O. clock, got out, found only two Carriages, so we had very close packing. there were two young ladies who the driver left at Mr Halls. they were Cousins. it is six miles from Yarmouth to Cape Cod Bay House. so we arrived at half past one. many were on the porch to receive us including Mr Lufkin, Mrs & Miss Westcott, Miss Lincoln and Dr Hulce. all were glad to see us, and Eva Pratt was also on the porch. we have a little dining room to ourselves and Miss Pratt waits on table after dinner we went up and selected rooms for ourselves. we took nine rooms, Mr Angell has his room on the third floor. they are very kind. Belle,s baby has the whooping Cough so badly that every one with a baby here are frightened, so she has decided to go to a Cottage kept by the widow Homes. Maggie the nurse has it too, Mrs Fitch has assists in nursing the baby. takes care of baby at night, so Belle is much relieved we have a dining room to ourselves, we find here Mr & Mrs Westcott Miss Westcott Mr Tewksbury, Miss Maud Lincoln, Dr Hulce old Mr Humphrey, Eva Pratt, all who were here last year and many more.
