Friday July 2nd 1875 This has been a damp day. all of us well, I have had all my pictures hung up and every thing put in order. in Mr Angell, s room and mine, also in the babies. Mrs Stiles Burton & Mrs L. Mrs Potter Palmer called to day. The twins are well and pretty. Sunday July 4th 1875 It has been very warm and raining, at noon there was a very severe peel of Thunder and Lightning, Ada and James went to church, I had a headache and did not go. at four O.clock note left margin: X Eva,s grave Mr Angell and I went out to my darling Eva,s grave, it looks beautiful and is one large bed of flowers, it looks beautiful X we stopped at Belle,s her two children sick with whooping cough.
