Friday June 18. 1875. To day has been very cool, but clear & sunny all of us well, Belle came up early and spent note left margin: Neuralgia X the morning with us, she had some of her old Neuralgia come on her to day in her face. after lunch Mattie Octave Ada & Hunt all went over to the West Side Park to get the air it is called Central Park. Mrs Nelson Billy & old Nurse came to see the babies. to night Mr Harvey brought me up a nice peice of Lemon Pie, he had been out to the stock yards to buy a good cow for Mr Angell,s babies, he has a nice one offered to him at 70 dollars. the babies are doing very well. an Englishman came to day to take our coachmans place, his name is Thomas Bryant Butcher. Saturday June 19th 1875 It is clear cool and sunny. all of us well. Our Painters still at work, Mattie Belle and Ada went with her baby to get a Photograph of the baby, all them went to ride. Mr Angell came by to see us to night, the twin babies seem quite well, we have our new Cow to night Belle,s baby came to see me for a little while. Sunday June 20th 1875 This has been a beautiful warm sunny day. all of us well. Ada Mattie Faulds Tommy and Shreve all went to church, so did Mrs Angell. I did not go, after dinner Mr Angell and I went out to Graceland to Eva's grave, it looks very beautiful with flowers. Belle and Mr Harvey came out in their buggy and stayed awhile with us. the grounds in the lot of Mr Harvey,s are very beautiful, and my precious Eva has a lovely resting place, we will soon bring on her little sister May and bury her in the same lot. Monday June 21st 1875 This has been a rainy day. all of us well. Ada Mattie Faulds gone to Mr Gollmans to sit for him, he wants Ada s hair to copy from for Eva,s, Belle ad Mr Harvey came up to dinner with us. Belle talks of going to Evanston to see Catie, Mr Angell wants to go to Louisville with him tomorrow
