Wednesday April 7, 1875 This has been a chilly day. I went to Belle,s house early, found Mrs Ceupher sitting with her I went with Maggie Rob and baby to Brands and had their pictures taken again. Then returned and found Catie Lunt with Belle, she had come to Lunch. Belle,s headache came on today and lasted three hours. I stayed late with Belle. Mrs Adams called tonight Thursday April 8 1875 This morning is was sunny and warm. all of my family well. I arose early as we expected Mr Angell. but soon a dispatch from him said he was three hours behind, so he did not arrive untill ten O.clock. I said how do you do and then went to Belle's found her bright soon dressed her and got her up. at 12, she had a little headache, Mrs Borden called. and we had several April showers. returned home at six. Mrs Lam Wheeler called after supper. Mrs C.T. Boal called at my house. Friday April 9 1875 This has been a bright day but cool. I went down early to Belle's found her bright but very short of breath sometimes faint, at three O.clock it got warmer and I took her to drive, and came up to our house, she enjoyed that but she did not get out, and we returned to her house again. She took a short nap and felt quite bright. I returned home at six. Ada and Hunt went out in my Carriage driving Mrs Blair called to see me to night to inquire about a servant named Mary. Saturday April 10, 1875 This has been a bright day. all of my family well. I went to Belle's house early and spent the morning. found her feeling very bright. her Carriage came round and I took her and Minnie and the baby to drive, went to my house and she stayed untill four O.clock, then she returned home. Ada and I went in our Carriage to Mrs Wilkinson's to a lunch party we enjoyed it very much. I then went to Belle's and Mr Harvey brought me home. Ada has gone with Mrs Adams to Miss Mitchell's to a Club. it is now quite cold and the wind is high.
