note top left: Carriage 31st X Wednesday Oct 28th 1874, note top right: Snowed, The weather is quite warm. all well but Hunt has cold and cough still very troublesome. at seven o. clock in the morning Mr. Angell, Eva and Ada all arrived from Louisville in good spirits and quite well. they had a good time while they were gone. Mrs Leiter came over to see Ada take her singing lesson with Prof Bergstrum, they left all the Louisville people well. a coloured girl named Flora washed for me to day, Ada had many friends in Louisville Thursday Oct 29th 1874. To day has been cloudy and rainy. Mrs Leiter sent her three children over to show me their new green velvet cloaks and hoods. all of us well Hunt better. Mrs Eddy called to get me to assist in the Fair for the Homeopathic Hospital Mrs T .U. Burton called, she has taken rooms at he Pacific Hotel. Mrs C.J. Bryan called after tea Mrs Allport called so did Mr.& Mrs Harvey. Friday Oct 30th 1874, To day has been cloudy with occasional snow. Mrs A Jackson and Miss McDougall called Mr and Mrs Angell and Mr Chas Angell came up to dine to day. After tea Mr H H Honore and Mr Franklin Morgan called all of us well, but Hunt his cold is still bad. Saturday Oct 31 1874, To day has been quite cold, all of us well but Hunt, his cold is still bad. Eva and Shreve went out in the buggy to try and get some aid for the Hansons sufferers. Mr Badger went out to Riverside and also to Glenwood. I went with Sheridan to Dr Allports to have his teeth finished plugging. I called on Belle and found her out. Ada's french class met here to day. Our Carriage came home today from the shop where it has been painting Belle and her baby came up and spent afternoon it X Snowed today. Sunday Nov 1st 1874 All of us well, Eva Ada and Mr Angell gone to church. Mr Badger and Shreve gone out to his Fathers. Mr Britton called for Ada to go to church. It has been a pretty fresh day.
