Wednesday Jan 21st 1863
This is an ugly day- the snow is melting- we are all in health- I had a call from Frank Honore & Mrs Herfort after ten- at 4. O.clock I went to Father Badgers with Belle & Eva - we stayed all evening- returned at 11 O.clock
Thursday Jan 22nd
I received a call from Misses Steele to day also Mrs Ludington & Miss Messinger. Mr Hunt took dinner with us- we all well I dressed some dolls for the children. after ten Mr Badger Octave & Mr Munn went to the Theatre with me - to see Florence.
Friday Jan 23rd
It rains to day- we all well- Eva got better of her headache Mrs Peck came to see me to day- we are going to the Grass hopper Club to night- at Mrs Morris,s. at two O.clock Ella came and brought her Bandbox with clothes in it for the club- we went in a hack about 9 O.clock and found many there- all in party dress- we had a nice time returned at two in the morning - I danced all the time Mr Hunt & Munn left to night
Saturday Jan 24th
It is a pleasant day- all of us dressing dolls- namely Ella myself Belle Eva & Ellen after dinner I went to Miss Van Pyle to order an Opera cloak of white merino- children all went with me- Ella gone out home- I received an invitation to Mrs H.C. Stone,s party - received a letter from Sister Virginia- she sick from mumps
Sunday Jan 25
It is a lovely day- we all well- I went to Church and took Belle Eva & Ada- after church Father Badger took them all out to his home- I after dinner went after them with Sheridan returned early- Mr Badger gone to poor school- he brought Belle & Eva home- after Tea he went to church- I wrote to Sister Belle-
Monday Jan 26
I received a letter from Father - I took a hack and went with Octavius to see Mrs Wm Sturges- spent a pleasant half hour- then went to Sherman House to see Mrs Field- Sister Licinia & Cousin Arianna dined with me- Miss Delia Gurnee & Miss Amelia came to see me- also Misses Clark- Mrs Goodrige- after ten we went and spent evening with Mrs Thomas - our ministers wife- children began school to day
Tuesday Jan 27
We all well- I went down street shopping- Miss Waller called to say good Bye- we are invited to a party at Mrs Dunhams on Thursday- Mr Redmond called to see us- also Mr Fisher Florence still with is- little Clarks came to see children - they went after tea to see Ella Walker-
Wednesday Jan 28-
weather fair- to day I invited Mr & Mrs Field Mr & Mrs Hilton Mr & Mrs Thomas to tea- they call came- we had a pleasant evening- all well- they left late.
