Tuesday November 18th 1862

It is still Raining children gone to school - Sister Licinia & Alice Florence and Ella all spent the day with me - after dinner we all went shopping - Brackett arrived to day - Hilton children stayed all night with us again - we had a dance after Tea.

Wednesday November 19

It is cloudy to day and cold, nurse Ellen gone down town and I nursing - making children black spencers trimmed with red - also finishing their yellow merino's trimmed with white gold merino braided in black - Hiltons children gone home at four - Mrs Redmond & daughter called to see me - I received letters from home - Belle & Eva had the dress maker to fit them to day - first time in their lives I make their dresses usually - I went down town and ordered a head dress for Licinia

Thursday Nov 20th

It snowed very fast this morning - but soon melted Ada & Sheridan out in it - with Nancy it has continued bad all day - Mr Alcott called to see me - at 9 oclock we went out to Judge Green's to a party - or our our Grasshopper club - returned at two Ada complained of her head where she fell and hurt

Friday Nov 21st

It is fine weather to day - Mrs S. S. Hayes called to see me - I went visiting called on Mrs Feild of New York Mrs Wilson Mrs Hadduck - Mrs Childer - Mrs Johnson of New York Mrs Bentley Mrs Tyler & Duffield - Mrs Duffield has her daughter Alice sick with Typhoid Fever - Mrs Gurnee & Miss Delia came to see me after Tea Mrs Haley came to see us so did Mr Bigelow - we all played cards until late received the Greene's wedding cards - she married Mr Belt

Saturday Nov 22nd

It looks like rain - we all well - at one O. clock I took a hack and went to Mrs Herfoots with Belle Eva & Brackett the Duffield children came to see me - children gone to see Nellie Clyde

Sunday Nov 23rd

It has been a lovely day - I went to church with Mr Badger Belle Eva and Brackett - the family all went to Father Badgers but me - after Tea we all went to Unitarian Church - to the meeting of several schools - many pretty addresses - Mr Bigelow came home with us

Monday Nov 24th

It looks like rain - I went shopping all day - at nine O'clock I went with Mr Badger and Brackett to Mrs Millers party in behalf of Soldiers Aid Society enjoyed myself much - danced a great deal - round dances and all - came home at 12

Tuesday Nov 25th

It threatened to snow - I went to the Funeral of Mr Walkers brother he fell dead - was fifty two years old - was brought here to the City for interment - they live next door to us - we all well -
