June 1. Auntie sick all day with sick head ache. I did not leave her. June 2. Worked about house - accomplished several small jobs. Auntie better but troubled with palpitations. June 3 Communion Sabbath. Geo. [unclear] - his wife - and Polly Isaac & Nattie Snow were received into the Church today - their children baptized. Very solemn. Auntie & I late at Plank Road - Folks been & gone. Sylvester Lay much with us. Went over to Newtown - had a good meting there. A great ball play on the common. Saw one of my Bible class there - who encouraged me - very much. I tried to lay the burden on Jesus - and try to believe he would rescue these young men - from the temptations that surround them. Oh, for more faith!
