old bones heaped together under the Altar here being remains of illustrious characters & Saints [?crossed out: Sang?] the Chapel is much smaller & and is reached by a narrow road way walled up on both sides leaving a space between for the [?graded?][?sodd?] and stone steps, which are many. I saw here the first wax figure of a black saint although I am told there are quite a number of them.
