There are no yards or gardens--Visited the market this evening saw a number of vegetables, peas cabbage, tomatoes, lettuce, raddishes, beets & fruits, a great many of which are new to us & which we have tasted - Bought a fine fresh pine apple for 18 3/4 cts. Went this Evening out side the walls & were surprised by seeing quite a number more modern houses, some wooden, also a lovely grove of cocoa nut trees loaded with fruit, a fine broad walk led through the center of grove
