"The eldest of their beloved men leads the sacred dance. etc etc etc - - Dancing was a religious ceremony with the Hebrews of great Solemnity. Ps. ch: 149 - v 30 - Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel & harp. 150 v.4. "Praise him with the timbrel & dance; praise him with stringed instruments & organ." - 2 Saml Ch VI, v.14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; & David was girded with a linen ephod."
