98 Lion, (Isle, pau, pau) devoured their people. They dug a pit & caught him in it, just after he had killed one of their people. They covered him with lightwood knots, burnt him, and reserved his bones.

The snake was in the water. The old people sung & he showed himself. They sung again, & he showed himself scratched out a little out of the water. The third time he showed his horns, & they cut one; again he showed himself a fourth time and they cut off the other horn. A piece of these horns & of the bones of the Lion, is the great war physic.
