       By a resolution passed yesterday October 26th, I am instructed by the National Committee & Council in General Council convened, to acquaint you that twenty citizens of this nation, nominated to the people in an open assembly & by them publickly appointed as a Delegation fully empowered to treat finally with the General Government of the United States, here, or at Washington City, -- are now ready to meet any Commissioner upon the subject, who an produce adequate credentials:
