which I paid for said Boy, and will forever defend his freedom against the claim of myself, my heirs etc. & against the claim or demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever. To all whom it may concern, Know Ye that George or Oowanahtekiskee, has this day appeared before the National Council & Committee, and by his own free will and choice entered into an instrument acknowledging a certain boy Moses to be his Son, and further emancipating him from Bondage as a Slave. Therefore, as do hereby receive and admit the Emancipation of said Boy and will acknowledge him to be free hereafter.
