Gen: Arbuckle at Fort Gibson writes to John Ross & others, in convention, near Illinois River.- It had been reported to the General that evening, by a Mr Deuenburgh, Agent for the contractor, who is immediately from Mr Adair's on "not clear" District, which place he had visited for the purpose of issu-ing subsistence stores to the late emigrant Cherokees, that he was there threatened by Lewis Webber in such a manner, that he believ-ed his life in danger, in conse-quence of which he left that place, with a promise that he would re-turn on the approaching Monday, to complete the issues which he had commenced.
